We rented a cottage around the lake Tajch area, this is such a beautiful and relaxing place. The people are friendly and quite a few can speak a little English which is a huge help as Slovak was not one of my options at school! The lake area is so peaceful and has some gorgous cottages and a great hotel. There is swimming, boating and fishing in and around the lake. We did as little as possible most days just sun bathing beside the lake and having drinks with a few of the locals in the bar/ disco in the evenings.
